Gamba & Lombana Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary
"No one thought it would last," joked founding partner Hector Lombana. "That was the reaction Tom Gamba and I heard when we started, but we exceeded everyone's expectations and we look forward to many more years together."

In 2008, Gamba & Lombana named Araly Herrera-Borgen partner. Araly had been with the law firm since 2000 and focused her work at the firm on cases involving medical malpractice, wrongful death and serious injuries as well as commercial litigation matters. She is currently a member of the Federal Trial Bar, Florida Justice Association, American Association for Justice, and the Dade County Bar Association.
Tom Gamba has served on the Executive Council of the Trial Lawyers Section of The Florida Bar and recently concluded a term on the 11th Judicial Circuit Nominating Commission, entrusted with screening, interviewing and recommending applicants to the governor for both Circuit and County Court judicial appointments. He is a former chair of a Grievance Committee of the Florida Bar; former president and director of the Cuban American Bar Association, and former director of the Dade County Trial Lawyers Association and Dade County Bar Association. Gamba currently serves as the Statewide Treasurer of FLABOTA, the Florida Chapters of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Hector Lombana has been active in promoting the legal rights of Hispanics, minorities and women, as well as increasing the number of Hispanics, women and African Americans in the legal community. He is a past president and director of the Cuban American Bar Association, a member of the Inner Circle of the Hispanic National Bar Association, member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the American and Florida Justice Associations and the Florida Association for Women Lawyers. A member of the Federal Trial Bar, he is a past chair and current member of the Third District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission and a past member of the Florida Bar Civil Procedure Rules and Professionalism Committees. He was also a member of the Florida Supreme Court’s Committee on the Retention and Appointment of Senior Judges.
Attorney Marisol Gomez-Decena joined Gamba & Lombana as an associate in 2006. Actively involved in professional and civic organizations, she currently serves as the President of the Puerto Rican Bar Association of Florida, Chair of the ASPIRA Miami-Dade Local Advisory Council, Secretary of the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Woman Lawyers, Board of Governor for the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar and member of the Dade County Bar Association, Cuban American Bar Association and Florida Justice Association.
