Firm's Marisol Gomez Named to Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors

The firm's Marisol Gomez has been named as a circuit representative of The Florida Bar's Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors for the Eleventh Circuit. The group oversees the work of the bar's Young Lawyers Division, which offers professional development opportunities for the organization's members. Gomez's term runs through 2009.

Gomez was also elected as Treasurer for the Miami Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers for 2008-2009 and will continue to serve on the organization's board of directors. This marks her second term on the FAWL board of directors, and she has also served as the chairperson of the Awards Committee for the chapter.

Gomez is also a current member of the Dade County Bar Association, Coral Gables Bar Association, Puerto Rican Bar Association, Cuban American Bar Association, Florida Justice Association, American Association for Justice and the National Conference of Puerto Rican Women. She earned a law degree from St. Thomas University in 2005 and an MBA in corporate finance and legal implications (2002) along with a bachelor's degree in business administration and criminology (1999) from the University of Miami.
