Gamba & Lombana is proud to announce that Hector J. Lombana was recently re-appointed by Gov. Jeb Bush to serve on the Third District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) for a third term. The commission is responsible for nominating the judicial finalists for the Third District Court of Appeal that go before the governor for final selection.

There are twenty-six judicial nominating commissions that screen applicants for vacancies on Florida courts and recommend qualified candidates to the governor. The nine members of the Third District Court of Appeal JNC are appointed by the governor, and four of the appointees must be selected from a list of nominees that is submitted by The Florida Bar.

Mr. Lombana looks forward to continuing the work of the commission by helping to ensure that the most highly qualified candidates are recognized with an opportunity to become a judge.
