Business, criminology and law make a powerful combination in talented and motivated young lawyer Marisol Gomez-Decena. Her hard work and perseverance benefit the firm’s clients.

Mrs. Gomez-Decena worked her way through school, earning her bachelor’s degree in business administration and criminology from the University of Miami in 1999, her MBA from the University of Miami in 2002 and her juris doctorate from St. Thomas University in 2005. Her MBA in corporate finance and legal implications provides her with insight into corporate accounting and business practices that is distinctive in the legal community.

Employed in the legal arena since 1997, Mrs. Gomez-Decena has gained a unique understanding of all aspects of litigation matters. She has served as an intern with the State Attorney’s Office in Miami Dade County, Broward County Attorney’s Office and the City of Coral Gables Attorney’s Office. Ms. Gomez-Decena was also selected to complete a judicial internship in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida with the Honorable Senior Judge James Lawrence King.

Actively involved in professional and civic organizations, Mrs. Gomez-Decena currently serves as the President of the Puerto Rican Bar Association of Florida, President-Elect of the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, Chair of the ASPIRA Miami-Dade Local Advisory Council, Board of Governor for the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar and is a member of the Dade County Bar Association, Cuban American Bar Association and Florida Justice Association.
