Highly respected for his courtroom skills and tenacity, Hector J. Lombana has devoted himself to protecting the rights of victims since 1977. After spending the first 12 years of his legal career defending corporations, insurance companies, physicians and hospitals, Mr. Lombana dedicated himself to helping individuals and entrepreneurs. The knowledge he gained as an attorney for the defense is one of the many weapons he brings to bear in his relentless advocacy for his clients.

A native of Havana, Cuba, Mr. Lombana graduated magna cum laude from Rutgers University and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities. Mr. Lombana excelled at Rutgers University Law School, where he earned his law degree, and was selected to be the teaching assistant to the Dean Emeritus of the law school and Professor of Constitutional Law.

Mr. Lombana has been active in promoting the legal rights of Hispanics, minorities and women, as well as increasing the number of Hispanics, women and African Americans in the legal community. He is a past president and director of the Cuban American Bar Association, a member of the Inner Circle of the Hispanic National Bar Association, the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, the Florida Association for Women Lawyers and the Litigation Counsel of America. A member of the Federal Trial Bar, he is a past chair and current member of the Third District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission and a former member of the Florida Bar Civil Procedure Rules Committee.

A great communicator, Mr. Lombana has made numerous appearances in national and local media speaking on issues related to the legal profession and is widely recognized as an authority on trial practice.

He is a Martindale Hubbell “AV” rated lawyer, and has been named to Florida Trend Magazine’s Legal Elite, Florida Super Lawyers and to the South Florida Business Journal’s Best of the Bar in the field of Trial Law.
