A seasoned and esteemed trial lawyer, Tomas F. Gamba has been dedicated to protecting his clients’ rights for more than three decades. His steadfast pursuit of the best result – rather than the expedient settlement – is just one of the qualities that delights his clients. Mr. Gamba was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1976 and has been Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by The Florida Bar since 1986.A graduate of Notre Dame Law School, he holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, where he graduated with honors. A legal pioneer, Mr. Gamba was among the first Hispanic trial lawyers in South Florida. A skilled trial attorney, he is a frequent speaker before the media and legal organizations.
Mr. Gamba has served on the Executive Council of the Trial Lawyers Section of The Florida Bar; he is a former chair of a Grievance Committee of The Florida Bar, former President of the Cuban American Bar Association, former President of The Miami-Dade Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and former director of the Dade County Trial Lawyers Association and the Dade County Bar Association. He recently concluded a term on the 11th Judicial Circuit Nominating Commission, entrusted with screening, interviewing and recommending applicants to the governor for both Circuit and County Court judicial appointments. He currently serves as the Statewide Treasurer of FLABOTA, the Florida Chapters of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Mr. Gamba is a member of The Florida Bar, the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Florida Justice Association, the American Association for Justice, the Miami Dade Justice Association, the Cuban American Bar Association, Dade County Bar Association, the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, the Hispanic National Bar Association and the Spellman-Hoeveler American Inns of Court.
He additionally serves on numerous professional and civic boards, including the 11th Judicial Circuit Centennial Celebration Committee and the Florida International University College of Law Dean’s Advisory Council.
He is a Martindale-Hubbell “AV” rated lawyer, and has been named as a Top Lawyer in the South Florida Legal Guide and to Florida Trend Magazine’s Legal Elite and Florida Super Lawyers.
